Hooray for Hollywood Monday, 28 September 2009

Posted by Ian Cole in Ian C, New York 2009, The Ians on Tour.

In HollywoodWell here I am on my enforced layover in LA. Didn’t want to spend the day at the hotel, and there’s nothing around LAX, so I caught a cab in to Hollywood.

Had a wander around the Chinese Theatre, the Kodak Theater (where the Oscars are held), the Hollywood & Highland Center and the Hollywood Blvd area around there.

One of the things I wanted to do on this trip was look for a few particular CDs and books, so I caught another cab to the nearest Borders (at Sunset and Vine). The only CD they had that I wanted was the only one I’d found in New York. Got a couple of books though.

Funny story: I’m in the cab on Hollywood Blvd stopped at traffic lights and see my friends Matti and Bec from Brisbane (Australia), who had also been in New York for Kristina. Had a quick chat before the lights changed. They were on the way to do a bus tour, I didn’t have time.

Unfortunately the talent scouts didn’t spot  me. Their loss.

Wish I had known, I’d have come up to see you in LA. Hope you had a reasonably good time there on your “enforced” layover.

Now young man……you get yerself home quick smart and enough of the galavanting around the US. As for CDs and books try eBay.
PS: Remember you have a day job so no auditioning for the Bold and Beautiful!!

@ Ryan: that would have been nice, but it was all very sudden and chaotic. Didn’t really know what was happening from one minute to the next. Got in to LA at 4.30 am. All too sudden to try to arrange something.

@ Rina: but if I’d been discovered I wouldn’t need my day job 😉

OK GO AND GET DISCOVERED QUICK……and I’ll send my resume to you cause you’ll definitely need a PA.
